The Airline Academy of Australia was chosen by Boeing, Alteon and Jeppesen to partner with them in the Beta Trial for the Multi Crew Pilot Licence.

The Airline Academy of Australia has trained cadets from a large number of countries and is structured to meet the differing cultural requirements if required.

The Airline Academy of Australia tailors each international student’s training needs to meet the various licensing requirements of the students home country.

Entry Requirements

If English is not your first language, in order to gain entry into our courses you will need a minimum English language level of 6.0 in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS), or equivalent TOEFEL or TOEIC.

If your English proficiency does not meet these standards, we are able to assist you to obtain English Language training.

As the Airline Academy of Australia is a government approved Flight Training Organisation, we are required by the ESOS Act 2000 to advise all international students to read the ESOS Framework available online giving the benefits to students studying in Australia.

On enrolment, you will be asked to confirm that you have read the ESOS Guide.

Medical

Before you commence your course, you are required to undertake a medical examination to Class One standard as required by the Australian Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA). This examination can only be carried out by one of the CASA Designated Medical Examiners. A full list of the DAME’s that are approved internationally can be obtained online at www.casa.gov.au/avmed

Age

Due to Department of Immigration requirements related to the Student Visa all students need to be aged over 18 at the commencement of their course.
