to support your learning experience.
CESSNA 172R
For
cross-country navigation exercises, and after initial flight training in the Cessna 152,
students move on to the new generation Cessna 172R.
These durable safe
aircraft have been in production for many years and are legendary among light single
engine aircraft. The new model is powered by a Lycoming 160 HP fuel injected engine, which
provides a cruise speed of 120 knots.
BEECHCRAFT BE76
DUCHESS
Beechcraft
BE76 Duchess aircraft are used to introduce trainees to twin engine operations
and instrument flying. The BE76 is a comfortable four seater, powered by
two Lycoming 180 HP engines with Contra Rotating props giving it a cruise speed of 150
knots.
SYNTHETIC FLIGHT
TRAINERS
The
Academy has one synthetic trainer or simulator as they are more frequently called. They
are of particular benefit during advanced training, especially instrument flying. The AST
300 multi-engine simulator is used for Instrument Flight Rating (IFR) training.
